During the summer, Monoi De Tahiti remains in a liquid state as long as the weather remains warm and sunny. This makes July the perfect month to feature Monoi De Tahiti in a Scrub of The Month recipe. The subtle aroma of Tiare has been blended with Tangerine, and Ylang Ylang Essential Oils, and Ginger CO2 Extract. The warm, sunny aroma of this scrub is perfect for a summer spa session or a salt glow massage.

OOOHHH! This scrub sounds FABULOUS!! I have recently “sworn off” scrubs for my product line (mostly for the reasons that you brought up in your last post and also because I don’t want to monkey around with water-proof labeling…). BUT, I think I’m going to make this scrub and keep it all for myself!!
The Monoi de Tahiti Oil sounds wonderful as does the Ginger Lily CO2 Extract.
Thanks for the great recipe!

Hi Erin, I would definitely encourage you to make this scrub for yourself. After all, one of the greatest advantages of making handmade beauty products is getting to use them for yourself! Whenever I need a little pick me up I whip up something that smells incredible and either slather it on myself or bath in it. Why should our customers have all the fun?

Would I be able to use a salt scrub recipe to make a sugar scrub?
The Natural Beauty Workshop says
Hi Alison. In most recipes, including this one, sugar and salt can be swapped with very little effect on the final product. One situation where you might want to avoid using a substitute is when soap is involved. Soap and salt react very strongly to one another, so if a scrub recipe includes any kind of soap, use the specific type of exfoliant the recipe calls for.
