Another fabulous addition to our growing line of USDA Certified Organic Ingredients, Organic Honey Powder can be used to enhance a wide range of natural skin care treatments and formulas. Honey possesses natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which make it great for use in sensitive, combination, and acne prone skin types. Organic Honey Powder is water soluble and can be added to the water phase of lotions and soaps, as well as fresh facials and masks. Organic Honey makes a great main ingredient for fresh cleansers as well. Try creating a completely Organic Facial Cleanser by combining Organic Honey Powder, Organic Rosehip Seed Powder, Organic Whole Milk Powder, and Organic Carrot Seed and Chamomile Hydrosols. Add just enough Hydrosol to form a smooth paste and massage it gently onto the skin. Rinse, and follow with an Organic Toner and Moisturizer. This fresh cleanser can be stored in the refrigerator between uses and should be made freshly every 4 – 5 days.

Your organic facial cleanser sounds wonderful. How much of each ingredient should be used? Equal parts?
The Natural Beauty Workshop says
Hi Glenda. Start off with equal parts of the dry ingredients to make a simple cleanser, adding just enough hydrosol to make a smooth paste. You can adjust the ratio of dry ingredients to suit your taste, or add a base ingredient like Oat Flour or Rice Bran Powder to bulk it up. We have some more information on making these kinds of powdered cleansers here: https://naturalbeautyworkshop.com/my_weblog/2011/09/creating-everyday-facial-cleansers-from-natural-ingredients.html

Hi, Is it possible to mix honey powder with vegetable glycerine instead of water?
Thanks!
The Natural Beauty Workshop says
Hi Lannie. Yes, you can certainly blend Honey Powder with Glycerine. If you have any other questions, please let us know!

Would love if you could elaborate on blending honey powder with other veg.oils? Such as ratio amount and would it leave a sticky feel? I would love to add it in some moisturizing products.
Thanks, Nicole
The Natural Beauty Workshop says
Hi Nichole. Honey Powder won’t necessarily blend seamlessly with a vegetable oil as honey’s true solubility is in water. It will, however, disperse, and can be incorporated into scrubs, cleansers, etc. that way. It also works very well in emulsions, so adding honey to lotions or creams is a good choice. As for leaving a sticky after-feel, honey is often added in very small amounts to stay-on products such as lotions or leave-in conditioners. The trick is keeping the ratio of honey low. Start around 3% and adjust from there.
