Soft, creamy Pistachio Nut Butter is made by hydrogenating pure Pistachio Oil along with Vegetable Oil. The result is a smooth, spreadable butter that can lend a pleasant texture to balms, salves, and lotions. Pistachio Nut Butter can also be used in soap making to add moisturizing qualities. Because it penetrates the skin easily, it makes a wonderful ingredient for massage lotions or butters, and can be included in all-over body care products.

One of my favorite new things is pistachio ice cream. The nuts are so good. It’s amazing what butters are available now. This one sounds delicious. Does it lend fragrance to a product too — making is smell nutty? Or is it deodorized? Also wondering if any of the natural green color comes through in a product.

Hi Donna Maria. Pistachio ice cream is certainly something special. 🙂 Unfortunately, Pistachio Butter doesn’t pack much of a punch in the color or scent department once its added to a formulation. It does, however, sometimes have a very subtle nutty aroma on its own, as well as a slight green tint. Its too bad it doesn’t carry over into formulations, but you can always pump up your recipes with a nice, nutty Fragrance Oil. Our Roasted Nuts Fragrance Oil or Toasted Hazelnut Fragrance Oil are two great ones to use along with Pistachio Butter.
