One of our newest Organic CO2 Extracts, Lilac Total is an exciting find! It boasts an intense floral aroma that will delight the senses. This luxurious and fragrant extract can be used to create high end perfumes, and special formulations. It has a thick, waxy texture, and a very strong scent. In order to incorporate it into blends, or dilute it into a Carrier Oil, it must be warmed gently, along with the Carrier.

Many CO2 Extracts can be used in soaps similarly to Essential Oils. Just make sure the the CO2 has a strong fragrance, as not all CO2 Extracts are pungent. Also, take a look at the type of CO2. Totals tend to be very thick and waxy, making them harder to work with than Essential Oils. Selects are often looser, with a consistency similar to Essential Oil. Lilac Total, for example, is very pungent, but it is also very thick and waxy. It would need to be diluted into a Carrier Oil in order to be used. You could try diluting it into your superfatting oil for soap making. The only drawback to using Lilac CO2 for soap, would be the costliness of it. Youd need a similar amount of CO2 as you would Essential Oil in a soap recipe. With a precious CO2, such as Lilac that could make for some very expensive soap!
