It's Earth Day, which makes it a great time to take a moment or two to contemplate some very important things. First of all, what does a clean, healthy environment look like to you? Fresh air, clean water, organic soil, stable climate? After meditating on this question ask yourself another. What are you doing to help make the environment that you want for you and your family a reality? Do you recycle? Maybe you make an effort to carpool to reduce emissions, shop with reusable grocery bags, or regularly donate to environmental causes or participate in activism campaigns. Now that you've evaluated your current contribution, think about how you could improve it. Even the littlest change can make a huge difference on a global scale, so let Earth Day be your yearly reminder to keep up the good work, keep making good decisions for your family and the environment, and keep striving toward a greener and healthier lifestyle. Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day serves as a reminder that we are stewards of this planet for the creatures with whom we share it, and for future generations.
How we’re working to help improve our environment:
We’re recycling though there is no current pick-up and it has yet to “catch on” in rural Mississippi.
We’ve started keeping bees and have planted pollinator-friendly plants.
We shop with reusable bags but could use some more!
I’m learning how to make our own cleaning and bath products with the help of essential oils and advice from the delightful people at From Nature With Love.
I drive a fuel-efficient car.
Next goal: raising our own chickens!
Thanks for helping me focus on this today!

Thank you so much for sharing your Earth Day thoughts with us on The Natural Beauty Workshop, Keri. Im currently living in a city that doesnt offer recycling pickup in most areas either. I can relate to recycling being especially challenging under such a circumstance, and would like to applaud you for making an effort despite it not being made easy for you. Its great to know that Im not the only one stock piling empty cans in my storage closet before carting them to the other side of town every couple of weeks. Maybe if we keep it up long enough the rest of our neighbors will catch on! In the mean time, keep up the good work because every little bit counts. Thanks again for stopping by the blog, and taking the time to leave a comment. I hope well hear from you again soon.
