As Summer gets closer to coming to a close, I find it important to make the most of what’s left. Celebrate the days with outdoor picnics, trips to the beach, and long walks in the woods. By night, treat yourself to a little something tropical, like this creamy, pinapple and coconut scented sugar scrub!
Creamy Shealoe Butter gives this scrub a light, fluffy texture that you will totally fall in love with. We’ve scented this recipe with one of our new Plant-Based Fragrance Oils, giving it a sweet aroma reminiscent of indulgent frozen cocktails.

- Add the Sugar and Wax Beads, stirring well to fully combine the ingredients.
Usage & Packaging
This scrub looks great in our 4 oz. Flat PET Jars with White Lids.
To use, apply a few tablespoons to your skin and massage gently in a circular motion. This scrub is ideal for use as a body scrub, but would probably be a little too harsh for the face.

Would virgin coconut cream oil work as a good substitute for shealoe butter? If not, what can I combine with virgin coconut cream oil? Also, is the beeswax necessary?
The Natural Beauty Workshop says
Shealoe Butter has a very unique consistency, so changing out that ingredient would alter the texture of this scrub pretty dramatically. The Beeswax is present to make the scrub a little more firm. You could leave it out, but you’ll have a softer texture in the finished product. You certainly could make a scrub with Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil with or without wax. Just keep in mind that it will look and feel very different from the original recipe.

Is the Yellow Jojoba Wax Beads necessary or is it just for color?
The Natural Beauty Workshop says
The Jojoba Wax Beads in this recipe are only present to add color – though they do add a bit of exfoliation as well. Feel free to omit them from the recipe. It will still be great!
